Hi All, well good news.After 6 years of appeals and denials I was awarded SSI,and SSD all the way back to 2002, ALJ judge found me fully favorable.

The approval was dated Oct 31,2008. I just now started to see a partial payment, of the backpay for SSI.

Does anyone know if you recieve all your backpay in one lump sum for either SSI or SSD? I live in Oregon so far got a small amount from SSI, with no award letter, so not sure if there is more coming my way. I would appreciate any information you can give me. Thanks to all, and be well.

yea honey.... That's the way mine started also I got a check for 6 months and then the award letter and the checks then came on a regular day every month I recieve ssi because I had enough qualifying weeks and am disablied. mine award is for 7 years and then between 5-7 years I may need to be re evaulated.I don't have any medical insuranse ***REMOVED*****

So do you get SSDI and SSD? did you get your backpay all at once for SSD? Thanks for the information, the waiting is killing me.
