Re: Put in for reconsideration now we have another function report is that a good sig

Hi,
I am trying to remember if I had to do anther function report on the reconsideration level, but can't seem to. I do, however, remember filling out forms asking if their were anything changes regarding past illnessess to report. That was what Social Security was most interested in knowing about. Not anything that they already knew about. I did have a lot od new stuff to add though. This is what what me my claim. I also had new docuementation to support my claim on the reconsideration level. It went fast after that. There is a low precentage of claims won at this level. I believe it is 7%

Hi,I had a total of 6 or 7 functional capacity assessments done after being denied at the reconsideration level. They do help, especially if there is a change in your medical condition,I suggest working close with your doctor and be sure you are in his office when he fills them out due to the fact most doctors ask for them to be left to be done later, that's fine if your dr is 100% up to date on ALL your limitations which most are not.If you do not have a lawyer I'd suggest getting one, mine was great through the entire process and still helping me after I've been approved.

Yes, I do remember having to do another function report at the reconsideration level. My attorney asked me the questions over the phone, and then his office filled it out, and sent it in.

Re: Put in for reconsideration now we have another function report is that a good sig

i too am in the middle of the reconsideration level.
I had to fill out another function report, my represenative filled it out for me. she stated that it's extremely important to fill it out exactly as the first one was filled
out, and to be sure to add more symptoms or any thing medically that has changed since first application. Now my question is how long will it be before we find out if we are denied or approved???? THey sent me to a s.s doctor and she was very good and understanding, i can only hope that it worked out in my favor. I am so nervous it hurts...
i hope things work out for you.
Good luck
