date bumped up and a question - Disabilities Message Board

I was talking to the secretary for my lawyer and as we were talking about my up coming surgery my case came up. She said that the judge that is hearing my case is a very detailed judge and likes to see everything and everyone.

She also told me that the judge reviewed my case and bumped it up by 3 months, to the august 17th date. She said there are people that have been waiting longer then me and put me in frt of them. I take this as a good sign.

I am confident that it ill be a good hearing, she said this judge is very detailed, and because of my age (35) just want to see me and make sure i am who i am.

I also got the name of the vocational specialist.

The next question i have is regarding back pay

Do they go 6 months back from the date of your application or your last day worked?

Hi, Seems like very good news if they bummped your date up.
As far as the waiting period for back pay it's 5 months from the date you appied or the date they find you disabled.
Good Luck. I have my hearing in Sept.
