I'm still waiting for my letter of approval and first check along with my back pay, but my question is do we get the cost of living increases for the years on our back pay? I tried to find it but no such luck. Thanks!

Yes..my letter showed the different years with the different amts for each year and each year had an increase

Thanks Debbie, that is good to know; now if they would only send my money (-: I don't suppose those of us just approved also get the $250 stimulus check? Every bit counts when you are making a lot less then you are used to.

Yes you Will get the $250 stimulus check although ss is a bit behind on getting these to new ss recipients. Your right every little bit helps.

Keep in mind their will be NO COLA for 2010 and 2011.

did you get your letter and if so, have you got your check or an idea when you might get it. i got my approval leteer sept4, but no sign of money yet
