I was to have my hearing in NC on Monday 11/09. We were on our way to the hearing, when my lawyer called and said that the judge had made a decision and I didn't need to go to the hearing. We had WON... that I had a Favorable Decision. All I could do was cry. I'm so happy. This part is over. The lawyer said that I should get a letter in about 4 to 6 weeks. That is how long it has taken for the last 10 people that has had this judge. I hope it goes that fast.
I just don't understand... the judge had the same information 6 months ago when we were trying to get an OTR decision and we never heard anything.
I want to say Thank you to everyone on this board. I have been reading for the past 2 years. The information has helped a lot.
Everyone that is working on getting SSA, don't give up. Keep fighting. If you don't have a lawyer, Get one. Now. They do help.

Congratulations. I went to court on Oct. 22nd. Got my letter 6 days later with the approval. On Nov. 9th I got a check with my backpay. All very fast. Fought almost 3 years and it is all settled in a few weeks. Hope you get everything soon.

I've been wating 4 months for ALJ decision.I called ss yesterday she said it is still at post hearing review stage.Been there since a week after hearing in July.I hope for a favorable decision soon.Congrats on your win.

Sounds to me like the judge needed to clear his schedule and/or the court for some reason and looked down through the list of cases and approved the ones he thought would be approved anyway. This organization never ceases to amaze me.
