Carol, yes if you were deemed disabled for the year for which the stimulus check covered, you should receive a check. I do not know how they track this payment, maybe someone in that category will chime in on the timeframe. I know there was a one time payment that covered 2009. I do beleive that you must have filed a tax return to be eligible (even if you owe no taxes). I have read as have others that commented earlier that the President had proposed a stimulus check again for 2010 but so far that has not been approved by Congress. The initial press was that it would happen in the first quarter of this year, but it was tied to the passage of the Healthcare reform and the 2010 budget. To date I have not seen any passage. It is my understanding that this is only a one time payment in both instances because of no cost of living increases for those on SSD for the 2009-2010 years. Hope someone who was in the same circumstances will let you know the time frame.
