hi, I was just wondering if anyone out there on ssdi or ssi has received a letter about getting a 250.00 stimulus payment for this year,coming soon. Does anyone know if were getting one? thanks
On March 3, 2010 congress voted on H.R 4213 giving people on SSI, SSDI, Veterans and Railroad recepients 250.00 was voted against. So no there will be no stimulus payment this year.

Hi I actually recieved that same letter in the mail today....not quite sure but don't know why we would get it if it wasnt true.....we will have to wait and see
Got a letter saying I will receive 250.00 within 30 days, delivered to my account, or sent by mail. I just got approved for SSDI on March 15th so that was fast.

it could be last years, people who were eligible for disabilty last year but did not get approved till this year will get last year's stimulus check. i hope it is brought back up again for 2010. my medical bills are outrageous

Here is what it says:
Good News! The economic recovery bill that President Obama signed into law in February of 09 (just states that's when he signed it) provides for a one time payment of 250.00 to Social Security and Supplemental Income beneficiaries.
You should receive your one time payment within the next 30 days.
It says other stuff..but nothing in regards to it being for last year, kinda vague.
You very well could be correct, in that it is due to me for qualifying for last year.
