Im so anxious to read it. I look for it in the mail everyday and have known for 6 days I have been approved . How long did it take you to get your letter?

I was approved Sept 16, my letter hasn't arrived yet either, but our mail was screwed up on Saturday with a substitute mail carrier...I am hoping it arrives today, I am worried because we got other peoples mail that someone else got ours,,,,I wish they sent these with signature confirmation required...hopefully it will come today, I too am anxious to read the details....Emily can I ask what state you are in? I am in Michigan.

I was approved at my hearing on June 15th. I think I got my letter towards the end of the first week of July. It's not a very exciting letter. They letter that tells you your backpay is way funner.

LOL...mine won't be that exciting...I took a 13 year break to stay home with my sons...then went back to work, that left me with a very low ssdi payment.

Thanks for the replies. All I have to go on is what SS tells me my attorney hasent even got a approval letter and I got a payment today! I know SS told me what I was approved on but the attorney explained that they dont see all so I was wanting to see what the ALJ approved it on forsure since I had a long list of things I applied on. I went into this blind, even with a attorney that never once let me see records or ever told me which illness he was fighting my case on and I seen my attorney one time and that was at the hearing.

The same thing happened to me. First I got a phone call saying I was approved, then the money in my account a few days later, then the letter about a week later.
