Disability?

I filed in Jan 2010 for SSDI and went through the ringer as we all do and was denied, I sent in an appeal letter and kept my fax confirmation but they never responded. After 3 or 4 months of no response, I called and they have no record of my appeal and told me to refile!

I refiled and set up an appt with them to go over paperwork. I talked to the SSDI office yesterday and the guy on the phone actually told me - they do NOT consider receptionist or secretarial work "real" work! LOLOL how ridiculous is that?

They're just trying to find a way to deny me again for SSDI because we own a business and he said we small business owners like to "manipulate" the government! he couldn't even tell me what happened to my last appeal - there's no record - luckily I have the form & fax receipt

no, I don't just answer the telephone...all calls are routed to my husband's cell phone because I can't deal with customers or talk on the phone anymore - so I guess the paperwork, estimates, billing, filing, ordering parts/chemicals, taxes and payroll all get done on their own right?

over 10 years I've worked for the business, which is incorporated and paid my taxes, our business turns then pays my taxes DOUBLE through monthly payroll, PLUS all the other fees/taxes for the govt and now they tell me it's not REAL work???

I have documented cases from 3 different doctors about my conditions - one of which is persistent Syncope and pre-syncope even after having a pacemaker/defibrillator implanted after 3 sudden death attacks where my heart stopped (I'm 43) I've had syncope & dizziness problems since age 9 and been told it was nothing to worry about until June 2009 when a dr sent me for a tilt table test and found my problem - Neurocardiogenic Syncope and Orthostatic Intolerance.

I also have Malignant heart arrhythmia's & VT episodes that are associated with my NCS and syncope episodes documented, Heart muscle damage, Left ventricular dysfunction, pulmonary hypertension that puts me in the heart failure category (not CHF) severe endometriosis/adenomyosis, depression from my medical problems, nerve damage throughout my body, severe headaches, degenerative pelvic & spine (S1 & L4) from a car accident to where now I can't sit, stand, walk or lay down for any length of time - I have to shift what I'm doing often and my last CT showed showed Degenerative changes in the thoracic spine on top of the sclerosis in my pelvic area.

I'm so tired of jumping through hoops and fighting, now I have to start over and go through this again.

Re: Disability?

I'm so sorry you probly do have to start again and at least you have the DR's report and things you used the first time. Do you have a lawyer? can you get your Dr to fill out an rfc report. I wouldnt give up it is what it is just do the paper work again and hope for the best and pray. I will keep you in my prayers seems like they should be held acountable for not receiving the first paperworks but it is the Govt. Just refile and get a lawyer to help you Good Luck to you keep fighting seems like you dont have a choice the only way to go is restart. Keep praying and good luck this message board is a good place to come for advice. God Bless You
