Ok well I called this morning and I will not be getting back pay. I also asked about the child support she says they need to receive something so they can garnish me. Does that mean they will be taking the money out of the money i receive?
Child support is different then what your children will recieve for social security off your record. If you are required to pay child support , then I believe it would be taken out of your own SSDI . If you owe backpay in child support , I still think it will have to do with how much SSDI you will recieve each month. But, not sure if they will take into consideration that your kids will recieve income off your record . I would call your attorney or the child support offiice in your area.

I dont know all the details but I know this... Your dependents get half of what you get and split it between them.
So if you get 1000/50%= 500 and have 2 kids 500/2=250 per child SSA pays in thier names is what was told. But I dont remeber how it factors into child support. Might wanna web ssdi and child support
There is no garnishment of your SSDI for your childrens benefits. In all cases of dependent child SSDI the SS Administration must have the names, SS#, and dates of birth of all children under 18. You can take this information to SS and ask for "dependent child SSDI"
They can garnish your ssdi for back child support and back taxes and student loans
