alj hearing - now waiting

Hello out there

just had a national law firm represent me at the alj hearing after a 2 year wait and denials since day 1

had severe herniated discs, carpal , nerves and more...

lost the job, then the house, but not the wife thank god..

hearing went well except for supposedly impartial doctor on phone who gave his esteemed opinion on the files he only read-no evaluation mind you

the rehab fellow simply stated i could never work again

am now waiting for decision and will hopefully be able to take care of non-stop pain which has plagued me since 2000\\am 52 year old Army veteran who worked since 16, paid all dues in life as well as served my country and now need help when at my lowest point and have no idea if i even have a chance after all the hoops have been jumped through so to speak

may anyone else going through the same thing have peace of mind if such a thing is possible

Wonder if I had a better chance if a coyote had smuggled me in from TJ after I had driven down there and came back??

thanks

Re: alj hearing - now waiting

It's common for a consulting physician to review all the records and render an opinion (common in SS, WC, STD, LTD, etc). An the Voc Rehab person stating there were no jobs in the national economy you can perform should play well in your favor. The Voc Rehab person's job is to match your abilities and experience with known jobs in the US (not actual openings, but jobs that are listed in an extensive listing of job titles, types, requirements, etc)

Re: alj hearing - now waiting

This is the kind of thing that makes me very angry A person who has paid into the system for most of his life, served our country , and now disabled . He can't get his benefits that he rightly deserves. That is not right at all. I hope you keep on trying and will have a fully favorable decision soon.
