Re: judge made a decision!!!

The waiting time is always the hardest. Sounds like you will know any day now. I hope you are approved!

Re: judge made a decision!!!

Can your lawyer tell you before hand what the decision is? Mine called and told me before I received the letter so I knew. I know the waiting is awful, hope you get nothing but good news.

Re: judge made a decision!!!

I guess in my case the judge sent my lawyer the decision, or perhaps he found out by phone. In my case I was denied. Don't be scared you will be denied because I was, I have a complex case that is different from the norm. 70 % of people are approved & you will probably be one of them. I hope you will be approved, but yea, I agree with you, how strange to keep it a secret. Why must it be a big secret?? I never called the ODAR office, I'm sure they wouldn't have told me the decision, I would imagine they don't tell anyone. It's probably against the law to reveal decisions because they have to be careful who they're giving that info out to.

Re: judge made a decision!!!

back during the days of my first claim and that alj hearing, i was calling odar while waiting on the judges decision, and they wouldnt tell me anything either ,other than no decision, decision made and at writers, then mailed out.... i agree with vann -- i think they are bound like the hippa or something... it is the same way at any level and you call ssa for status update, they wont tell you the decision (at least they would never tell me when i tried to find out)... one thing, once the decision is made at any level, it can be pulled by QR and changed...
