That is very interesting Vann. I know that my CDR was overlooked at the 3rd year. If this happens i may be effected. I always heard that once you are on Disability it is very hard for them to knock you off of it. Unless their is substaniel evidence that says you can work a SGA then I think most people will stay on.

Unfortunately this is true. Moreso with people on SSI . I am not knocking that program, however it is income based and the payout each month is low so their are a lot more people collecting SSI and working under the table. With SSDI thr is no income limit , so Their is a lot less fraud. I think S.S needs to crack down on them . We all know a person cannot survive on $500-$700 a month.

That is true but the sad truth is that ssi is free money were as ssdi is your money and also with ssi comes free medical and ssdi you pay for yours .

Yeah, just like with private group/indiv. LTD. My gut tells me this Vann. They really want you off disability. This kinda stuff is what worries me the most. Despite what any claimant says after they go on disability, that fear of possibly being kicked off one day is always there in the back of your mind. Most ppl on disability, as crazy as this sounds, actually fear getting better and being labeled by a doctor as not being disabled anymore because you find yourself at these advanced ages with no income and no one willing to hire you. This is a fact and most ppl on disability know this.

Tell you what people better have recent medical records because I here that if you don't the ssa is not going to play around they will kick you off because congress is breathing down there neck to start saving money.

Re: Ssa to step up cdr reviews

I guess I'm confused. I would kill to not be disabled. I would love to be able to go back to work.

If a person on SSI is able to work under the table "because the payment is so low??" ***??! they are able to work and should be taken off of SSI. We don't "force" them to cheat the system. If they can work they should work.

If I could turn back the clock and never have become disabled I would.

I'm not out to "get what I deserve" I paid into it and now I need it.

your not suppose to work under the table the reason that they are is so no taxes will be taken out if they had taxes taken the ssa can find out and stop there ssi.

You don't get it. If they can work they aren't disabled.
