After the SSDI approval letter ?

What other correspondence should you expect to get from SS after you receive the approval letter? How long before you normally get these other things?

Re: After the SSDI approval letter ?

If you have the letter that defines your disability onset date, benefit begin date, monthly benefit amount, etc then that is all you will expect for now. You will get your benefits and back pay soon, if you provided SS your direct deposit information watch your bank account to see when that occurs. If you have not already done so call SS and ask how you can being direct deposit If you are currently eligible for Medicare you will get information from Medicare directly for enrollment.

Thanks Spine.I see my onset date. They also gave me a 3 year CDR. The remainder of the letter talks about how she arrived at her decision. I don't see anything about the monthly benefit amount. I figured my own benefit begin date after reading the onset date she gave me. She also talks a little about how she approved the fee agreement between me and Allsup. Maybe, I will get some more stuff later, IDK. I will post back if more stuff comes in.

Re: After the SSDI approval letter ?

From my understanding, after you get your decision letter, you should get a benefit letter stating how much you will receive monthly - as well as your backpay amount.

Re: After the SSDI approval letter ?

I agree with PME. There has to be a letter detailing date and amount of benefit payment.

I am not sure if you will get this information after your Lawyer is paid or not. It might be the reason why you have not recieved the letter. Check with your attorney first. things usually move pretty fast after an approval. Everything will come together for you very soon.

Thanks Vann. That was not very professional of your lawyer not to even call you after your approval. Allsup notified me immediately. How long was it after your approval before you received the letter to set up your online account? I think they have all my bank info for direct deposit. I recall doing the paperwork and sending it all back to Allsup from the outset.

Re: After the SSDI approval letter ?

I rec'd a similar approval letter inthemail today...i did not see any reference as to how long i was being approved for or when they would be reviewing my file again....the letter is very similar to yours...notice of decision 3 pages, fee agreement between lawyare and i 1 page...7 pages summarizing the issues, applicable law, findings of fact and conclusion of law sections.....my onset date was february 18 2010....im assuming that my disability backpay starts 180 days after this date? Any idea where i may find out how long i am approved for? Thanks.

Re: After the SSDI approval letter ?

It will say on the back of the letter but it says something like improvement not likely are improvemnet likely something like that. then base on that you will know when it will be reviewed, I was on page 4 on the back Hope you find it it is under Bold letter saying things to remmber.
