I also got a bill for stamps, phone calls ect. and I thought I didn't have to pay it until I got my back pay and they sure let me know that I was not going to be able to wait to pay until the back pay came in. Its okay but I didn't have to pay no where near 300.00 and something it was more like 75.00 again congrats on your win YEA
I am sure the Lawyer will get his money as soon as he can, but adding on all the little stuff? I gueess the little stuff can add up quickly , he needs to chill out.

You know that amount seems excessive! From the posts here on the board and my personal experience I haven't seen "expenses" for one of these cases go over $100. My total was just under $100. Did he send you an itemized invoice? If he didn't I think you should ask for one. Unless there were a large number of overnight priority Fedex's and a huge amount of copies made I'd be courious how the money was spent. I lived in Hawaii at the time of my application/approval process and my lawyer was in New York City so we had to use Fedex more than a few times to keep things moving and yet the bill came to a total of between $95-$100 for all expenses. I'd like to see what you were charged for that totaled $300.
Congrats!

Wow - my attorney did not charge me for such things. I only paid a flat 25% of the first backpay check. I wish I could have paid her double - she was wonderful throughout the whole ordeal.
