Hi everyone...I had my hearing via satellite on Dec. 21, 2010. And today is Sept. 10, 2011. Can anyone tell me why it takes so long??? Or should I be expecting a denial? In 3 months it will be a year...since my hearing...im very confused...my rep knows just about as much as I do...all I can do is wait...they tell me.

That is a long time not to hear something. I have not seen any other posts about this , usually a decision is made by now. I would either call or go down to my local social security office and find out what is going on. Sometimes they will have updated information faster then anyone else. I hope yo hear soon! and it's favorable.

I have been waiting for my decision since February of this year. And now I've been told they have scheduled a supplemental hearing in December. I have no idea why it takes some judges so long. I did however, ask my attorney if a long wait meant a denial. She assured me that wasn't the case, and some judges are just very very slow and backed up with cases. I hope you hear something soon. I know how excrutiating the wait is!

Thanks for the response. Its good to know that I am not alone in this situation. I was really beginning to think I was the only one waiting that long for a decision after a hearing. I give you my blessings for a favorable outcome...be blessed and keep me posted. As I'll do the same.
