Waiting,CPP disabilty doctor shortage
Just applied for CPP disability
History-2009 femoral hernia opertion, 6months later back in for another
had nerve blocks, tons of pain and pain meds, walked with a cane
2010-experience severe pain still-had the nerve clipped, cant walk, sit, stand without severe pain
Have a history of obesity, osteroathritis, had cartlidge repaired in right knee-talked about a future knee replacement
Recently-hospitalized 11days-IV antibiotics, had a huge mass on the area where the incisions were done for the hernias(had open surgery both times-did not do laprocscope?) the mass was diagnosed on CT scan thought it may be my body rejecting the mesh from the hernia operations.
Discharged with large amounts of oral antibotics, felt ok for a bit....Lump came back-more antibotics, severe pain, walk with cane, the mass extends down my left leg-about the size of a grapefruit.
Back seeing another surgeon-she will order a new CT scan and compare the last few. Possiblity I will need the mesh removed
But.....I most likely will have nerve damage and pain for the rest of my life
I had a surgeon fill out my CPP disability report-they dont commit to much....just said one two words to each question-yes she has pain, unsure of out come etc.
Very frustrating when I read how people are turned down....Im 53 and cant manage to climb a flippin set of stairs, have terrible problems sleeping-wake up in extreme pain.
I applied July 15th.....this year. At the moment my husband and I live in the bush-he is running a fishing/hunting lodge. We have no phone.....Im almost at my wits end...waiting waiting waiting....and thinking I need to get ready for an appeal as the surgeon I think did not fill out the reports in my favour....but in his defense.....I had only known him for a few months...we have moved several times since moving and most of the doctors/specialist I have seen have been walk in clinics. I have tried to get a doctor here.....I cant find a doctor who is taking new patience....sorry....venting!
