Just a little note to clear up some confusion about Medicare. I was
fully approved at my hearing in Jan 2011. Started receiving benefit checks March 2011. I was told that Medicare starts 2yrs 5mos after first benefit check. However, this is not true. Yesterday I received my Medicare Card in the mail. My Medicare starts 01/01/2012. So it is 2yrs 5mos after being found disabled. This was a great relief to my family and I. I hope this helps someone else as my Cobra had ended and I had no other health insurance.
