I had contacted my Senator a month or so ago with regard to my hearing being scheduled and they did follow up with SSA and I was scheduled within a few weeks. (10/13) My attorney, at the same time, asked for an OTR decision. Today, my attorney got a call from the Judge's clerk stating "that since there was Congressional interest, he cannot make an OTR decision and we will have to proceed to a hearing. He was going to take a look at the file to see if he could make a decision, but since there is Congressional Interest, he can't." Has anyone ever heard of this before? I don't think this is true and am confused. Are they just trying to yank my chain?? Thanks!
