Most definately ! I had this issue not too long ago regarding my sons claim. I called and was told a decision was made on the 2nd of September and it was a approval . I called again the next day to ask a couple of new questions. A different rep told me again he was approved. Even though I had not recieved anything in the mail yet and nobody had contacted us . I called on the 12 and this time I was told a decision was made on the 10th and she would not tell me what that was. how could this be? I was more confused then ever. And a little angry! I called our local S.S office and was told the decision was made on the 12th not the 2nd. He would not tell me, and transfered me to anther worker. I did not talk to this other worker that day so I was left hanging and wondering ***? two weeks later I call the local S.S office and finally talked to the right person, and found out she had been gone for 2 weeks. And he was indeed approved , but paperwork had stalled because the lady was not there. I do not think i am calling the 1-800 number again. Their too wishy washy and I do not like to be told different things by different reps.
