Things are looking up.

Today i went and talk to my doctor to get the information i needed for my lawyer. He wrote the amount of unscheduled breaks and the length of them that my lawyer needed. He was also kind enough to fill out the handicap placard information for the DMV. I went and picked up my handicap placard which has been the easiest thing i have done in 4 years. I turned all the paperwork to my lawyer who was sending it in to the judge on my case as updated information as well as sending in my On the Record Decision. Finally things seem to be looking up for me. I hope things are starting to look better for others out there.

Re: Things are looking up.

Every time i hear anything from anyone i will write an update. I will let you know the day my lawyer tells my the request is submitted. Hopefully soon after that my case is approved. Especially since my doctor stated my limitations a little more detailed this time

If your DR" wrote that letter he would probly do that to if you have to go back to him soon I would take that form. Great news please keep us posted. Good Luck.

Re: Things are looking up.

Things went from looking up to basically hitting rock bottom. My land lord called me this morning and said i need to come up with $700 in a week or i am evicted. I have no idea what i am going to do to come up with that money. As for that form my lawyer has already submitted my OTRD request so i will see if there is still time to fill that out and submit it thank you JGRAN

When my lawyer sent in my Otr paperwork it took about 3 months to here that I got it they don't tell you one day I went to get the mail and had 2 letters from the ssa saying I was approved. I found out before my attorney did.

Re: Things are looking up.

I know it will happen i am trying to stay positive. Vann i have heard some people say it takes a few months and i have also heard from people they were approved and had money in their account in a matter of a week or two after it being submitted. Since my case is in such dire need and my lawyer has been in contact and i have been in contact with the judge's office i am hoping it will be just a matter of them receiving all my stuff and the judge going over it and approving it and rushing my stuff through i have to look for something to go right in my life.

Re: Things are looking up.

I hope things go fast for you Slaughter . It sounds like you have updated everything and have done everything right , it is just a matter of time that you will be approved. I am sorry your having a hard time making ends meet. it is shameful that the wait time can force people into giving up there place to live and putting food on the table.

I finally heard from my lawyer today. My OTRD request was submitted yesterday. I have a date to go off of now at least for my request. We will see what happens.

Do you know if your case was noted in the file as a dire need? I am calling tomorrow as soon as my phone gets turned back on to make sure they received my OTRD request.

I did send in a dire need but I don't know if it was noted it in my file ,it did not say on my award letter either like it said before it took sometime even after I put in for a on the record decision to here back from the oadr office. And now that there are more people trying to get ssdi than there were when I got it it could take even longer. I hope it dosent but you have to be patient.
