...i called the 800 number about status of hearing..they said decision went to writers today..they won't know decision til its put in system..i had a 15minute hearing last month..the vocational expert wasn't asked to testify..how long does it take from writers ...??
I have heard different answers to this question. Sometimes they can get it settled quick and put through. Other times it takes 30 to 60 days to get it answered. I really hope they get something figured out for you. I really think you got approved though.

If you had a hearing and an on the record (OTR) bench decision wasn't made at that point in time they say that it takes 90-120 days to get the decision. Considering mine was an OTR, it still took 60 days for the actual written decision to arrive in the mail.
I agree that if they didn't question the voc expert, it's a possibility the decision was already made in your favor because if they were to deny and not have called the voc expert, it gives you definite grounds for appeal.
I wish you luck and patience.
