I've not been here in quite sometime. My hearing date was scheduled for Oct. 12th 2011 and lasted about a 1/2 hour. I was awarded a fully favorable decision and received my letter Oct. 27th, just 15 days later. I want to thank those of you who gave me the encouragement to find an attorney and persue the matter further. I want to wish those of you who have upcoming hearings the absolute best, no matter how mentally draining it is, try to stay positive and upbeat. Again, thank you and best wishes to you all

Congratulations to you! I am sure you are breathing a sigh of relief. My hearing was Oct 13th also in Pa? Where in Pa was your hearing? I am still waiting for my approval letter. Congrats again!

Thank you very much. My hearing was at the Morgantown ODAR Office, they handle all the cases for this area. It certainly is one less stressful thing on my mind. Congrats to you as well.

I'll be in more often now, I got a new computer and didn't have the site saved or bookmarked anywhere. Again I thank you. Encouragement from people really goes along way, aside from the numerous medical issues I have this was without a doubt the most stressful

Thank you very much. I'm not quite sure what you mean, is that when my case will be up for review? If so, the last page of the letter states " Medical improvement is expected with appropriate treatment. Consequently, a continuing disability review is recommended in 18 months." My attorney says it's nothing to worry about, with all the medical issues I have, they will check with my physicians to see if I've improved any and that I may not even know about it. I'm not quite sure if this answers your question, if not I can break down the letter.

I applied in 2004 and was denied of course, so I then said screw it because I got tired of jumping through all the ridiculous hoops and found a job. The when I applied this time it was June 2010. So from June 2010 til October 2011, that's 16 months I think.
Yeah, you answered the question. Thanks. I was given a 3 year CDR with similar verbiage. My non attorney rep told me the same thing your attorney told you. bdub211? How long in total time did it take you to get approved? From start to finish. I think it took me almost 20 months. I received an OTR decision so I did not have to appear before an ALJ.
