| FINALLY got a hearing date!
Last Weds 11/16 was my followup to call my atty to check on things. Spoke with the paralegal who called SSA and told me that they were not scheduling any more appts until they get their office moved. She said the woman would keeps my file beside here incase there was a cancellation.
(As a side note: The SSA office -not where they hear cases) was moved 5 years ago to the new building that was finally completed. The location where they hear cases in not in that building - & the hearing room/s has not changed at all in many years)
The next day, Thurs 11/17, she calls me & tells me we have a date (Feb 14)! -- On Friday the 11/18th I received the letter from the ALJ post marked 11/17, letter dated 11/22 (yes 11/22 today) confirming my appt for 2/14.
I am grateful-thankful -- I finally have a hearing date. I'm out of one abyss, at least temporarily.
Does anyone find any of this interesting.. the dates I mean in according to the phone calls, especially since I have my US Sen involved ???
--(which, my atty & para became clearly aware. After I had spoken to the constituent case worker in the Senators ofc, she was the one who told me that when my case got picked up by the VSU this past May, the reason they passed on it was because my atty did not have any of my UPDATED medical records since Dec of 2010 -- even tho my atty had me running all over town getting those damn RFCs filled out.)
I tried to post here last week.. but I just didn't have the energy. I've not been here much lately coz I've been so depressed about this entire process. Other days I come & read here and just get more depressed for one reason or another. I apologize.
Warm Hugz to all
