I have received SSDI for 14 years. I was approved on my first application because of PTSD, depression, and severe anxiety disorders. I have had a few CDRs in my previous state, with my latest CDR last year being the short, scannable form. I've just used my internist to write my psych meds for awhile, but now that I'm in a new state, I need to find a psychiatrist. I don't know whether it's my anxiety issues, but I'm scared to death that I'll end up with problems with the psychiatrist supporting me in a CDR. I still struggle immensely despite years and yearsof therapy, and cannot work. Does anyone know of a reasonable psychiatrist in Knoxville?

Don't forget that you can also interview Psychiatrists. Ask how they feel about SSDI recipients, and do they support people on SSDI... or other questions that can give you a general idea if it is a good person to have as your psychiatrist.

I know the county I live in, the psychiatrists who work at the county behaviorl health offices are very supportive, probably because most of their patients are low-income and/or on SSI/SSDI or some other benefit program. That may be an option to look at as well.
