Having my morning coffee with ya'll.
Letting my babies (dogs) out while I sit in silence, remembering
everything my atty said yesterday & going over the notes from
that convo.
I actually did sleep well, (with a little help from my meds) I was
more afraid I would over sleep -- so I set 4 alarms. LOL
I was awake 45 mins before they were to go off. I believe my dogs think
I'm going to work. (I used to get up at 4am to leave the house by 6a) I don't need to leave until 9:15a.. but I am getting antsy -- hate traffic.
So far, still relaxed.. I honestly feel at this moment there isn't much else I
can do. Of course, when that judge walks in, I'll likely have a melt down. HA!
I was told this should take between 30-45 mins.. I was concerned about the length of time sitting but atty said I could get up-- whew.. good thing.
Hugs everyone --

45, You will do just fine. Seems like your ready and seems like you have reserved to the fact it will take a while for the decison also. But you never never know maybe you will get one today. And seems like your lawyer has prepared you well. From what I read sometimes it doesn't take 35- 40 mins. sometimes its less. Hang in there we are pulling for you.

That is GREAT news! I'm so happy for you!! The hard part is over, now you can sit back and relax a little. I hope that it won't take long to start receiving your benefits and backpay. Wow, there are sure a lot of approvals lately!

Sure...
My appt was for 10:30a, was told to be there by 10a (was there by 9:45);
Their computers were down, so everyone (all cases) were running behind.
We got in bout 11:30am; Just before we went into chambers, the judges assistant/court reporter came out and was wanting some records the judge didn't think he had from my GP. She made copies, then came back for soem OTHER records from the same GP he didn't think he had. My atty thought this was good (as we waited out side the room) that the judge was thoroughly going thru stuff before we got in there.
Then we went in. Atty asked up front that the records remain open until a doctor I had seen last week gets his report in. Judge agreed. Then I was sworn in by the judge. Now on the record: Atty asked me all these questions about my issues, restrictions; some discussion about my termination pay. Atty was done. Judge looked right at me and said you are very credible and I deem you disabled.
Just like that. (I almost asked him to repeat what he just said. but didn't. )
We left the room & walked outside; Atty gave me my records and said I would be hearing from SS in a few weeks to set up my auto deposit etc. My on set was not questioned nor was my termination pay.
I hugged my atty as I broke down crying. Drove home - couldn't find a darn person to answer their dang phone on my drive home.. So ya'll were the first to know.
I'm so relieved ----------------------
I feel like I can breathe again

And I bet you are relevied Thanks sooo much for sharing this process with us please stick around and help others that are going thru the process Thanks again for letting us know. Take care of your self and do what the DR's tell you.
Sorry I wrote this post probly while you were writting the above post, That is exactly why I stick around to help anyway I can I have been approved for two years but That whole process really almost did me in I came so close to ending it. Really I have never forgot the helplessness of the situation and your furture in others hands. Its horrible. I will never forget how hopeless I felt.

I'm not going anywhere.. This is such a horrible maze that we have to go thru and I don't know what would have happened had I not had the support and good advice that I received in here. I can only 'pay it forward!'.
Oh, btw, I forgot to answer your 1st question from before: there was no voc expert in the room. Just the judge, the court reporter (who has a very loud keyboard-which was very distracting) and me and my atty. I was in there for 20-25 mins if that long.
And the best part is that you won't have to stalk the mailman, waiting for a letter. Not only were you approved, but he told you right then and there! YEA!!!
I am so happy for you.
