changing ins. due to divorce..car accid.

I was just curious and I will find this out when I am signed up. My question is this. I was in a car accident in Jan. 2007 and have ins. under my husband. I am going for physical therapy right now, and will be dropped from his ins. next week due to divorce. Now, from what I think, his ins. will be the only one able to seek full reimbursment from the other party right? And my insurance won't be able to, but would still cover physical therapy??? I will be seeking physical therapy for a while so I know I'll have to find out how many visits they cover. I suffered neck and back injuries. Any feedback would be great.

Re: changing ins. due to divorce..car accid.

I'm assuming this accident was not your fault, correct?
The other party's insurance should be paying for all of your medical bills until you are finished. You may either have to send them to that company or have your current auto insurance forward them.
What about your insurance paying for theraphy? Are you referring to your health insurance or new auto insurance?
Basically though, if it's not your fault, you should not have to pay anything in the end. You may have to pay and then be reimbursed from the other company. Depends on much med pay the other party had on their auto insurance.
Your agent should be able to explain this to you, or the company directly.
