Dizzy/Vertigo - reassure me!
First of all, I'm new here. I'm glad to find all of you!
I don't know if I'm posting this in the correct forum. Please forgive me if there's somewhere else that would be better suited for this.
This morning, I woke up and immediately had the room spin around me. It terrified me. I grabbed hold of the edge of the bed to keep from "falling" and the room just spun around for about 3 or 4 seconds. I hadn't sat up or anything. All I did was open my eyes.
Then, when I'd close my eyes, I'd kind of feel dizzy. I'd open them again, and it would be ok.
A little while later, I was still lying there, and the room spun again. Not quite as badly as the first time, but enough that I was scared again.
Even right now, I kind of feel a little dizzy.
This doesn't have to be something really bad, does it? It's not a tumor or a stroke or something, is it? I'm scared. It was so sudden and so scary.
Occasionally, I might have a little dizziness before my period, but it's not that time. So, I don't think it's hormonal (could be wrong, but....) I'm not on any kind of medication. I haven't had an upper respiratory infection. My ears don't hurt.
I did something bad. I looked on the internet for info on what it could be. Along with all the "normal" things that it could be, I also saw references to vertigo's being linked to MS, brain tumors and all kinds of other things. Tell me it's not those things.
I don't know what it is. But, I do know that I'm scared.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Or, make me feel like it's ok?
I'm still a little bit woozy right now. The room isn't spinning (thank goodness), but I do kind of feel weird. I went ahead and ate some cereal and had some coffee to see if it was hunger.
What is this? Should I worry?
