Sorry to hear that you are in such a state but it happens this way for all of us and we are all still here to tell the tale!
Inner ear problems nearly always start off this way and this is the most probable diagnosis. Most people however are only like this for days or a few weeks and then it goes away again and you will be fine. Hopefully, fingers crossed, you will be one of these people.
It is the most awful feeling in the world to suffer from vertigo and is very very frightening but try and stay positive. Often the meds don't work, what have you been given?
Your tiredness is probably due to the fact that your brain is now working overtime trying to make sense of the dodgy signals being received from your inner ear.
Have you had any colds/flu in the last few weeks. It often starts after this type of infection as it did for me, but not always.
Do you have someone to give you support at home? I hope you do because it makes such a difference.
Keep in touch with your doctor and if you don't feel better soon get him to refer you to a specialist to find out what the problem is.
Take care and keep visiting the board where we will give you any support/answers to your questions that you may need.
Hang in there, I know how you feel! Mine started 3 weeks ago with a violent spinning episodes with vomiting. It took me 4 days to get out of bed. I still have positional vertigo, meaning you still feel dizzy or spin with certain ways you move your head. I would, when you can get out, go to see a specialist. Don't be discouraged, but I'm learning that inner ear disorders are difficult to diagnose and treat.
