vertigo and sinus infection

For the past couple of months I've been having a weird vertigoish feeling. What will happen is it will feel like my head is being pushed to the left or everything is moving around me besides me. It happenes a lot when I try to focus on something or whenever I stop walking. This feeling has been going on for months now. But just recenlty I've had sinus infection symtoms such as congestion, sensitivety to light, cough, thick greenish yellow mucus, fever. The thing is that even without these symptoms I still get that weird feeling of everything else is moving but me. I also sometimes get the feeling of falling. I always say my brain just jumped off a building, because that's what it feels like. I am pretty sure I have a sinus infection but why and what could this other thing be? Could there be damage to my inner ear or something of that sort? Thanks for taking to time to read my post and thanks for your replies.

Oh i should also mention some of my other symptoms that I'm having a hard time relating to a sinus infection or the inner ear. I get a ringing in my ears,my left eye gets chasers and flashes of light, I get flushed skin, and pretty bad anxiety. I should also say that I noticed all of this stuff happening almost right after stopping xanax for my anxiety. That is when the vertigo or whatever it is started. Could the xanax damaged something?

Re: vertigo and sinus infection

Oh my God, I wish this message wasn't so old. This is PRECISELY what I feel: the brain stumbling down a bit.
