Red face 5 years of Dizziness

For 5 years now, I have had an on and off symptom of what I call dizziness. It may also be called cloudy vision, or oscillopsia. My head can feel very heavy at times. It sometimes feels like I'm going to fall over, but I'm not. IT IS NOT VERTIGO! It can literally go on for days or even weeks and then it can subside a little, but not completely. It all started after my first episode of drinking and getting chronically intoxicated. It was almost as if I had the same hangover for days. Other symptoms include the ears pluggling up. I have the feeling that my head swells up and when it does, I do get dizzier. Whenever it is bad and I happen to bend over, I can easily feel my head more as it feels very heavy and it feels like I'm about to fall over. I'm usually not very aware of my surroundings when I am dizzy. I don't get any head-aches, however, I do feel these little aches here and there on one side of my head or the other. I also can feel it at the base of my skulll where it connects to the back of my neck. It's very hard to nod when someone tells me something. It almost seems as though it's a struggle, because it feels like things are going up and down as I do it. As time goes on, I seem to gather more of a description as I go, but I can never seem to know what's going on for sure. In the past, I have had an MRI, Cat scan, ENG, and have visited many doctors. If anyone has any ideas, I would be more than grateful.

Re: 5 years of Dizziness

It is hard to give suggestions with a limited amount of information, however I have one suggestion: Have you considered the possibility of Migraine Associated Vertigo? You do not need to experience migraine headaches to suffer from the condition, and it is fairly common. Many doctors overlook this condition, so I just want to give you something to think about.
