| I'm baaack-- kinda similar as before
I'm posting this in General to request a wider overview.
2 months ago, to word it as accurately as possible, one morning I 'woke up and couldn't'-- couldn't completely gain consciousness. while I referred to it as dizziness, the worst was whenever I moved I was on the brink of passing out. went to ER- they did nothing, found nothing, sent me home. while the symptom eased a little, it continued for almost a solid week-- and then suddenly vanished.
the medical community in this region is ridiculously behind the times on all subjects-- they're totally useless. I can't afford more bills, especially when they can't come up with a dx or do anything to treat it. that's why I'm asking about this here on a forum.
well, last night it happened again-- was not as severe as the other time, but bad enough. it eased within a couple of hours, but I continued to feel woozy & a little out-of-it.
my dilemma is "sudden onset of symptoms I'd never had before."
in the past, I'd had dizzy spells due to an inner-ear infection, & due to a draining tooth-- but neither included feeling like I was going to lose consciousness.
I have normal blood pressure. I have hypoglycemia which I usually manage to keep under control with healthy eating patterns.
In both instances, factors in common: work overloads on deadlines; inability to cope with local climate = frequent dehydration; & consuming a lot of sugar products.
As the hypoglycemia dx was nearly 30 yrs ago I considered the possibility that I may have become diabetic, but don't have any of the usual symptoms.
When I was here 2 months ago people suggested migraines without headaches & TMJ. As I've had tooth losses recently, making eating a major hassle, & the fact that the symptoms are at their worst when I'm lying down or when I moved my head, I'm guessing the latter is a possibility.
I can't afford to lose work time from being ill, & not knowing what the problem is makes me nervous.
