Please help!!! So sick and tired i need help no doctors listen.

Everyday i have this spaced out, dizzy, off balance feeling. Almost everyday i hear a peircing sound in my ear like the dog whistles for a minnute or two ... Some times my head is just so heavy and i feel like i could pass out even if i'm having a good day and not worrying about anything what so ever.In the house, Im somewhat fine then as soon as I get out to malls or movies or big places i cant handle it it feels like im getting sucked into place my legs go weak its so crazy and im so tired of it. anywhere where I feel like I have nothing to grab onto it drives me nuts i cant go anywhere big. please someone who knows what it is ... is there anyone out there who treated this????? im so sick and tired of everybody being all your not alone i have this too.. well how about i had this too but i got rid of it by: ... i swear as soon as i find out the cause of this feeling im going to post on every post and tell everybody that i over came it and its all good and to go and do what ever it is if there is anything. oh and when i go to bed it feels like im on a boat but thats not my biggesst concern My vision gets weird in the night or certain neon lights or fluorescent ones which gives me hearushes people tell me i have bigger pupils then normal does anyone know if something in the ear can cause this?? No stupid doctors find this a big concern they just ignore it kind of. :dizz y:

Your doctors are lazy. Get a different one. I'd ask for a test for brain tumor issues. also, I have been dizzy for approximately 3 years. I just had a "so-called" angina attack and landed in the hosital for 3 days. The doctors thought I had a heart attack, then after doing a cardiac catherater test said my heart was fine. Then, because I was still dizzy, they did a ultrasound to find out if my gallbladder was acting up. Nothing there; at least that's what they say. My brother is a doctor and has indicated that it could be the starting of gallbladder disease, as I have no stomach pain, only dizziness and nausea...every day!!! The doctor put me on Prilosec for Acid Reflux. No difference. I'm stumped!

Re: Please help!!! So sick and tired i need help no doctors listen.

hey there, well it could be a number of things but I also suggest you get a new doctors opinion or ask to be sent to an Ear nose throat dr who most likely will then send you for an MRI of the brain. The high pitch noises in ears combined with a feeling cloudy or off balance and especially when you laydown like the boats moving all sound like inner ear problems, it could be laberynthtitus(dunno spelling)or what I have is Menieres disease, last week on embarrassing bodies there was a woman who had similar symptoms , hers turned out to be migraines in the brain stem, shes on medications and needs physio for that.
On youtube is a dr who has tests you can do which indicate wether your symptoms are ear or brain related, simple things like close eyes hold arms out and quickly touch nose with pointer finger swappin arms, type in vertigo balance disorder and ull see an old dude in white dr coat, try his tests. Hope you find this helpful and get some treatment soon. I am on Serc and low sodium but I have good n bad days as theres no real treatment for MD.good luck

Re: Please help!!! So sick and tired i need help no doctors listen.

Its most likely a central or vestibular problem. An ENT specialist would be a good start, but an otologist/neurotologist would be the best person to see, they are ENT's with extra training on the ear. They are found in private practices, hospitals, and most often in university medical centers. It sounds like you have some degree of agoraphobia, which is very common in people with vestibular and central disorders. It is possible that you have some inner ear damage, or even balance problems as a result of migraine activity. An expert will be able to come to a likely conclusion, give a diagnosis, and recommend treatment.

I have been taking .25 mg of zanax twice a day, but I still feel off balance. I can't walk at all without it. Did they tell you the cause?

Re: Please help!!! So sick and tired i need help no doctors listen.

I am post menopausal. Wasn't getting very much sleep, sweating a whole lot, stressed, and was having poor memory when mine started. I have been taking .25 zanax twice a day and it does help a little. I recently found out that menopause can have vertigo symptoms. I go back to the doctor wednesday. I am going to ask for valium. Several people tell me it works. I am thinking about hormone replacement at this point.

Re: Please help!!! So sick and tired i need help no doctors listen.

I take Serc, theres lots of conflicting evidence about wether Serc helps ot not and in some places they wont even sell it anymore. A common side effect of Serc is weight loss and now in some country forget where they are testing it on people as a weight loss drug, it dont seem to have any other major side effects, I used it the first time last year after trying other things and in 2 or 4 days the vertigo stopped, I needed to be on it for a few months then I was vertigo free for a few months, soon as it started again I went back on Serc this time they have not worked as good but they are helping. Things like zanax or vallium type drugs are only going to help if the vertigo is caused by anxiety. Mine is balance and middle ear related. Good luck oh and thanks for the info about menopause and vertigo, I been havin night sweats and other menopausal symptoms for 2 yrs now and maybe my vertigo is linked to that as well as my ears.

I'm not sure if everyone lacks sleep who gets this or not. With me I was having a horrible time sleeping. Kept waking up all hours tossing and turning and sweating. The sweating has finally slowed down. I have learned that stress won't cause it, but can make it worse.

Sounds like me. Have to sit in chairs with arms & high backs. Can't stand without swaying, etc. Almost impossible to lay down flat. 13 years of major hospitals, no one can figure it out. Next week am getting Perfusion Therapy (injection of steroid into inner ear). Say it is 70% for helping vertigo. I had never heard of this until saw yet another ENT Vertigo specialist. It is my last resort as I have been this way for 13 yrs now and have taken every treatment and medicine imaginable. Good Luck to you.

I would ONLY do the steroid if the ENG or VNG test shows damage. I am not a doctor, but this sounds logical to me!

Re: Please help!!! So sick and tired i need help no doctors listen.

Tons of tests. What they can test is abnormal but most testing has me in vertigo within minutes so can't be completed. Put the air in my ear last week and couldn't function for over 2 days. They gave me a shot of something that stopped the dry heaves and helped the rolling after about 15 minutes. Had to ride home laying on the floor board in back seat of truck.
I am so desperate for anything to help me. I don't have a life, I just exist. On computer is one of few things I can do for short periods of time.
Thanks for your response
