ELEVATOR! Augh! help...

Very quick help post, as I am running out of time to find solutions:

Anyone here have any tips on dealing with vertigo issues in elevators?
We are staying downtown for a few days and will be going from ground floor to 34floor - then up to the 44th floor - ugh - I am dreading this!
A very brief elevator ride usually unbalances me terribly, but at this height I am usually near falling over once I get off the lift -I feel like I am going to scream from the disorientation. :dizzy::dizzy:
Any emergency solutions?!
*I meant to post this a few weeks ago in preparation, but - :(
Thank you so much!

Please feel free to reply with any suggestions.
I appreciate it.
Thanks!

Hi, I use to get this all the time elevators, boats, plane ect..I found that getting tablets called serc's or strugeons from the doctor helped considerably these are used for vertigo and or travel sickness and can be taken a few hours before you hit the elevators. hope this helps regards Dee

Re: ELEVATOR! Augh! help...

It depends on the cause. There are 2 things that could be causing the problem for you. Either the change in air pressure, or the sensation of movement without your eyes being able to see the movement. I have 2 suggestions.

1) In case of pressure sensitivity, try popping your ears every few seconds.

2) In case the movement is causing the problem, try an antivert medication, ask your pharmacist for suggestions.

Re: ELEVATOR! Augh! help...

i used to get dizzly going up and down elevators back in 2004. I worked in a 10 story building. It was never anything that caused me any problems, I just thought it weird. Never got dizzy with any other types of movement. Then maybe a year or two would go by and I'd get it again. Then another year or so. Just thought I would post to let you know I get the same thing. On a scale of 1 - 10 I would the the severity of it was only a 5, and it wouldn't last very long. On an occasion it would be more like an 8. I did see the doctor once for it, but no had an explanation. I see its been a year since you posted.
