Lightheadness,dizziness/vertigo help needed pleased

Plese i need help with this one. I suffer from dizziness, vetigo and lightheadness, constant, a feeling as if I'm on a ship at all times, always moving, times not so harsh and other times very harsh. All of a sudden in June the 'moving ship' feeling went away and i was able to carry on pretty much everyday normally without the awful sensation, it was wonderful until this morning. It's back the unsteadiness, the moving ship from side to side. Nothing different other than on Friday I had a 20 oz Dr. Pepper and Saturday i have 2 caffine free Pepsi's, (i had given up soda for 6 months prior) so I had not had any soda since Feb 22, 12 and my symptoms had subsided or gotten really alot better since about June. Other times throught this whole ordeal which has been going on for about 3 years, I notice that after going to the movies I would have more violent dizziness so I've stopped going to movies. Now I am really preplexed because I was really thinking it was over except for the occasional lightheadness wave that comes over me at times. If you have any ideas on this, please please contact me.

Thank you so very much,
Marrie

Marrie, are you on any medication? Some medication will make you feel dizzy. Are there times when you feel worse? For example, when in a crowded place, when driving, or do you feel the same when you lay down? I would feel dizzy when I played video games with my son. It felt like how it feels when you get off a ride at an amusement park. I wonder if being at the movies was that kind of dizziness. When you walk and feel dizzy, do your knees feel like they are going to give on you? Do you feel anxiety or panic when you feel this way?

Re: Lightheadness,dizziness/vertigo help needed pleased

HI thank you very much for responding to my post. No I am currently on any medication. I have noticed that it comes in waves and at times I am sitting watching TV and there it is. I have been much better since June just the waves now and then. But this past Sunday when I posted it was constant, everything is moving when I walk had to steady myself on the walls, felt the ground moving beneath me, very scary and yes I do get very scared over these feelings. It so out of control and for me it's worse because since June I was doing much better and all of a sudden it's back and the only thing I did different was drink soft drinks, makes no sense at all. I'm doing better now it's calmed down a lot thank God. Do you get dizzy a lot and did you have to stop playing video games with your son? What do you do when this stuff starts to happen?
Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions. I hope you are doing well.
Thank you
Marrie12

Re: Lightheadness,dizziness/vertigo help needed pleased

Marrie, I am glad to hear that you are doing better, as for me I am also doing a little better. I am teaching myself to not get scared when I feel this way; otherwise it is going to ruin my life. It is hard to go to work feeling this way. I’ve done much research on this and other boards and some people do better taking antihistamines while others seem to be affected because of a bad neck or spine. I’ve also read that people who have eye problems can also feel dizzy when watching TV or in a crowded place. This problem is usually accompanied with headaches and tired eyes. If you continue to feel this way I suggest that you go see your doctor or an ENT to get to the bottom of the problem. Good luck and hope you continue to get better.
