| where can I seek help for 8 year old DS that does not chew?
My 8 year old DS son does not know how to chew. We are not sure if he does not get the concept or if he has a fear of choking. He will eat pureed foods but is getting tired of them and would not eat if we do not bribe him or feed him ourselves. He wants to eat regular food. He asks for chicken and pizza but all he knows to do is suck on it. We have taken him to therapy but we seem to know more about what works than she did. He is a very happy and healthy little boy but I know that he would be much happier if he can eat the foods that his classmates eat as well as what his family is eating. I am setting out to find some serious information so please help with any and all suggestions.
