soma and vicodin/combo coma - Drug Interactions / Side Effects Message Board

i reciently strained my neck(while walking my dog on a retractable leash)and at first the dr gave me skelexa which didnt help at all,now its been a week and a half so he rxed soma350mg and said to take a half vicodin(i always have 7.5s for headaches)so i took it last night and this morning and i have been in a soma coma until about 7pm tonight.i am used to the vicodin which usually makes me a bit hyper so i was suprised to be so veggied out by the combo.y so much difference from the skelexa,has anyone else needed to take this med?or this combo?

I take that combo along with neurontrin 3 times a day. You will get used to it. The soma is different than some other muscle relaxints I have tryed but it works.

I dont drive on the combo until at least 1 hours after taking it. The dizzy effect willl wear off by then.

Yup,
Im on that combo for fibromyalgia. Ive been on the same combo dosage for about a year and a half now. It seems to work best for me , after having tried numerous meds and numerous combos. It just happens to work best for me. Doesn't take the pain away, but it does take the edge off of it and thats good enough. It does take some time getting used to it and I wouldn't suggest you drive on it either till you know how its going to affect you or till youve given it some time to wear off. Me too. Soma seems to make me nauseous, but it works at bedtime. Vicodin ES seems too haveain little effect (I seem too be immune to opioids). I may go back to an OTC pain reliever.
