Problems With Avinza? - Drug Interactions / Side Effects Message Board

Due To Sever Back Pain & Herniated Disks, My Dr Has Added Avinza To My Rather Large Supply Of Pain Meds. After Taking This For About A Week I Have Noticed Alot Of Pain In My Joints. Mainly My Fingers, Shoulders & Knees. Could It Be A Combination Of Things Im Taking? Its Gets So Bad I Cant Tie My Daughters Shoes In The Morning. I Cant Even Close My Fist, I Can Hardly Do Anything. And This Has Nothing To Do With The Back Pain That Has Started This All.

Can Someone Give Me Any Info On This Or If They Know Anything About This Being A Problem

What other meds are you taking?

I take 90mg of Avinza daily for pain associated with my joint disease with 8 other medications and have no problems, but the only other pain med I take is percocet. I was having pain very similar to yours when I was on Fosamax and/or Actonel for my supposedly weak and thin bones. There is something I'm sort of sure Avinza did give me - a swollen knee. I seem to remember developing it when I first started taking this around 2.5-3 years ago. I can't stop the med to see if it goes away, but I have this suspicion that it will even though everyone I've spoken too assures me it's not the Avinza causing it

I'm 27.

thanks for reading my post & getting back to me.
due to my back i am on xanex, norco, 800 mg ibuprophin, soma & since i just had a discogram, dr has me on keflex. (antibiotic, i guess) . i can hardley move with my back let alone having the pain in my joints like i do. i am to the point that i dont want to go to bed at night because i know how i will feel in the morning. i eases up a little during the day but there are times i cant do anything. i am awaiting wc to approve surgery for a disk replacement. i just have a feeling it is from something i am taking that is making me feel like this. hopefully after the surgery, i will not nees to take anything to help with pain & it will go away

I take 90mg of avinza in the morning and 90mg of avinza at night at the 12hr mark, so 180 total, and i have had no problems like that at all, none besides difficulty peeing sometimes.
