Reaction to Flagyl - Drug Interactions / Side Effects Message Board

Hello out there, I would like to know if anyone has ever had a reaction to taking 1500m of the drug Flagyl. I took this dose for 10 days for an infection, however after the 5th day I did feel better but by the 8th day I was feeling worse than before the meds were given to me. I was very sleepy, could not think clear, muscles ached, felt like all my joints were coming apart, arms and legs felt like they were made of lead, and sweat thru my cloths all the time. I am still feeling this way , but not as severe as it was a week ago. I know my husband thinks I have lost my mind!!!! Please has anyone ever had a reaction like this or a reaction to any other meds? I wonder if I should see a specialist or if this just takes time to get out of your body. I have not been able to do much of anything for over 3 weeks now. Thank you

I had an allergic reaction to Flaygl. I was given it for a chronic endometrial infection. At first I just didn't feel like eating and feeling jittery. By about the 3rd day, my hands and fingers were numb. I looked into a PDR and this was one of the adverse reactions and said to stop the meds immediately.

Sounds like you might be having a different sort of reaction. I would go see someone since it seems to have persisted.
