Re: Can any of these medications cause menstrual irregularities???
Hi, thanks! Sorry I didn't thank you sooner (I forgot that I even posted this, so I didn't remember to even come back and check, lol). Anyway, I think it messed up my hormones a little bit because my period was at 45 days, I believe, and I started breaking out with acne on my face and chest for the first time in my life! BUT, luckily, I'm back on track now, my skin cleared up, and my periods went back to their normal cycle. Thanks again!
I just started birth control to to regulate my periods today. I have been having them every other week to every two weeks. My doctor doesn't know what the problem is, she is giving me the bc to see if it helps.
Re: Can any of these medications cause menstrual irregularities???
Hi Kat!
I'm new here and am also on Topamax and pain meds (Norco). One of the listed side effects for Topamax is menstrual irregularity. I haven't had a problem with it since the first month I started taking it, but I've heard that it can be a big problem for some women. It also affects the effectiveness of birth control pills, my pharmacy always has a big warning stapled to my Yasmin prescription every time I refill.

Hello-
Prednisone WILL affect your periods. They may come sooner and be lighter than usual. If you go to the official website of the prednisone maker, you will find the info. there. I had the same problem.
