This happened to me on risperadol where my mouth was stiff and they said it was a side effect of the med. They said that if this happens again they would give me benztropine. This helps to loosen the muscles and relax them. Just a question was she put on 600mg of seroquel right away or did she gradually work her way up to 600 mg of it? |
Thanks for your feedback..she is 16yrs old . we took her to the ER because she was having a bad episode (her psychosis are a result of her menstrual cycle) so they gave her geodon (40mg), follwed by seroquel (200mg 3x daily)
this has not helped her only making matters worse and resulting in her jaw being dislocated Since then, I've cut her seroquel (25mg- twice a day) and given geodon (20mg) as needed especially for sleep. WE are still not sure how we can help her but we only know that these meds don't do anything but damage or keep her sedated. WE are looking into finding new doctors who can treat her medical problem and not cover up her symptoms.
