i need personal opinions/experiences about zoloft!!! - Drug Interactions / Side Effects Message Board

I started taking zoloft yesterday and today i was EXTREMELY exhausted even tho i got 9 hours of sleep the night before. i was constantly yawning, it was weird. do these symptoms ever go away? also, im undecisive if i want to get on zoloft because i am scared of trying to get off of it when i decide i need to. ive had the prescription for 2 weeks now and yesterday decided to go for it. my doctor recommended zoloft because i have bad anxiety and after alot of thought about the pros and cons i decided to go for it and now im having second thoughts again ugh

I had the same experience with the yawning. I started taking Zoloft a few weeks ago and noticed that I would get very sleepy in the afternoons--as in go rest in the bathroom at work so I could close my eyes for a few minutes. It's been almost four weeks now and I don't notice it like I did at first. I do notice that I am very shaky though. I sit at a computer all day and I constantly catch myself shaking my leg.

i had to take it about 10 in the morning. If i took it at night, it energized me, too early, sleepy. I was on it about a year without any other side effects. The sleepiness should lessen after you have been on it a month or so

yea my doc justd upped my dose to one in the am and one in the pm. the yawning went away but ever since i started taking one in the morning and at night its back again lol but i already notice a difference in my anxiety levels!!! i feel normal already its GREAT! id have to go to the bathroom like 20 times at work to calm my anxiety down but that was before i got on zoloft and i havent had to do that once yet =-) but i havent noticed being shaky, not yet at least
