Question Dyslexia?

After my last sz, my neuro increased my Lamictal from 150 twice a day to 200. Now I seem to be developing dyslexia. When I type, I often type words with the right letters but they are jumbled. Or I leave or add a letter or word that shouldn't be there. I may get a sense that the word doesn't look quite right, but it takes a minute to recognize what the problem is. When I'm reading I find that I sometimes completely skip words. It's very annoying to me since I have always been a perfectionist. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it the Lamictal or did the sz wipe out some brain cells that I happen to use on a regular basis?

Hi. You're not alone! I've been on 150mg of Lamictal twice daily since March. I can't stand it! I work full time and go to school two nights a week and I can't think! When I try to talk or type, I "loose" words - words I've used a million times - I can't think of them for the life of me. Same as you, I'm typing all messed up - mixing letters up. I feel stupid! It's so frustrating! I still have seizures with the Lamictal, they're just much milder, so I'm able to function the next day a little better. I'm really starting to wonder if it's worth it!! Have you experienced any other problems on Lamictal?

I'm having the same thing with Dilantin. I proofread everything I send out, and then when I look at it again later there are words missing and misspelled.
