I'm just getting over the flu. My ear is congested with fluid. The doctor can't give me anything, because decongestants raise your blood pressure and I'm already on BP meds. So, unfortunately, I'm going to have to live with this for a while and hope the fluid disappears. Anyone else have this problem??
I just got over a bad cold and have the same problem--my ear doesn't hurt, but there seems to be fluid in it and it's really annoying. WebMD says it might take several weeks to disappear and to try a warm washrag on the ear. I'm using the heating pad now & then. Have you asked your dr. about it, Arlmon?
I've been to the doctor twice and the ENT as well. I'm going to try the warm cloth near my ear and see if that helps. It seems as though I'm "underwater". The doctor told me yesterday, there is still fluid in my ear. He gave me samples of Entex La (knowing about my BP of course) and said to try them for a few days. I took 2 and felt really sick, so that's the end of that. It looks as though, I'm going to have to wait it out, or go see another ENT. I'm getting sick of doctors! A friend of mine had fluid in her ear for 6 months. That better not be me (or you) !!!
