Throat Feeling

I'm sure others have had this, but I feel as if something is in my throat. There's no pain at all, even when I drink and eat. It's basically just an annoyance. I've had it for nearly a week now, at first it felt like it was on the left part of my throat, but now it feels like it's on the front part of my throat. I don't really know what it is, so hopefully someone here can tell me?

Re: Throat Feeling

If it continues for a few weeks, it may be the form of acid reflux in which the acid rises out of your esophagous and into your throat, causing, not heartburn, but larygopharyngeal reflux - the most common symptoms are yours - the feeling of a lump or something stuck in your throat. The other 3 most common symptoms are chronic cough, difficulty swallowing, and sinusitis-like problems.

If it is acid reflux, you will need 2 PPIs per day. A PPI is an acid -reducer, called a Proton-Pump Inhibitor. Larygopharyngeal reflux (LPR) is best treated by the brand name Nexium.

But if you've only had this a week, I'd give it another week to resolve before seeking treatment.

I felt that way from an antidepresent I was on one time. It may be a medicine you are taking?? Are you on any new meds since you started getting this feeling? For me it was a feeling of having to yawn almost but 24/7 lump/yawn feeling. I obviously stopped taking that med.
