| Tongue ulcers, no tastebuds
I apologize for double-posting (I posted under "Allergies", too). My mom (81) recently developed ulcers on her tongue, a constant puckery feeling in the mouth and her tastebuds have stopped working.
She thinks it was caused by drinking noni juice - which she diluted in water and had once a day for 4 days in a row prior to getting the mouth/tongue sores.
Has anyone out there experienced tongue ulcers and tastebud problems as a result of some systemic condition? Thrush and glossitis come to mind, but each has a different cause.
A 2 week course of Prednisone (anti-inflammatory) has done nothing to relieve this condition for my mom.
