Question ear pressure?

Hi
recently I've had a bad cold with a fever, and my ears feel like they are blocked, when I blow my nose it feels like my ears are going to burst! and it really hurts. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
Thanks
Carltongal

Re: ear pressure?

I feel like this now, with dizziness and pressure in my forehead. I think it has to do with having an infection in your ears. Nothing to worry about I wouldn't think.

Re: ear pressure?

It could be a sinus infection, or an ear infection, or maybe just fluid in your ears from the cold. How long has it been going on? Any other symptoms?

Re: ear pressure?

I had blocked ears (fluid) from a bad head cold. There was no infection. The ENT gave me Nasonex, and it seemed to work. 2 weeks ago, I went back for a checkup and he said everything was fine. 2 days later, one ear blocked up again! It's so frustrating. Now I have to go back again. I've been told that it takes a very long time for fluid to disappear. My doctor said no to ear tubes (not that I want them!). I wouldn't do it anyway. I've been like this for more than 2 months!!!

Re: ear pressure?

See your doctor, especially if you have a fever.
