Please help with this problem involving a swollen nose!!!

Hi,

I have been in a great deal of pain over the last few days as my nose and top of my lip have seemed to swell for no reason. My nose is BRIGHT red, and if I touch it, let along wrinkle it or something, it feels like I am going to scream b/c of the pain. This has happened twice before in my life and the were within a span of the last two months. It will go away 2-3-4 days later, but I am wondering what it could be since I have absolutely no other symptoms of anything else. The weird thing is this morning, I was gently blotting the pus that was coming out of my nostrils, and it felt like my cartilage was different. I know that sounds strange, but when I kind of made faces in the mirror to get my nose and lip to flex, I noticed the pus would sporadically come out of the right side of the nostril, and not the left. Also, what can I use for this problem?

Thanks!
