This is the second bout with this in a month. It only lasted a few days last time. It comes on suddenly and makes it impossible to eat or drink. I'm getting very hungry! Swallowing is very difficult. Any ideas what in the world is going on?
i suggest you jump over to Acid Reflux boards and read some of the posts. you might be suffering from LPR, which is what I have and I find it intermingled with a lot of allergy and ear nose throat symptoms, so i read both boards.
You didn't elaborate enough so I'm not sure, but it won't hurt to read some and maybe post some questions on that board.
good luck to you.
Thanks for answering. The pain is more than an annoyance, it is debilitating. It suddenly dawned on me I had just started on a new medication a couple of days before its onset. So when I went to the pharmacy to pick up the pain meds my doctor prescribed for the mouth pain, I talked to the pharmacist and explained what was going on and that I had just started taking adderall. He said he was almost certian that it was an adverse reaction. I asked if he had heard of that before and he said yes. So I stopped the medication and hopefully it will clear up.
Hi to all who have taken time to read this thread...ty. The soreness is gone from my mouth, tongue and throat. One lingering effect is the inability to swallow uless I have a drink or food. Very strange indeed.
