Re: anyone on the elimination diet?

bump!

I could eat anything before I had eustachian tube dysfunction / this horrible itiching inside my ears. Now I find there are certain foods that agitate it and I understand that the middle-ear space becomes prone to allergies once infected. I started the elimination diet a couple of days ago and I will post again next week to tell whether it has improved or not.

Re: anyone on the elimination diet?

I have eliminated all gluten/wheat from my diet and my ETD (Patulous Eustachian Tube) is (almost) completely gone. I HIGHLY recommend it!

I have not read ANYTHING referring to this ANYWHERE. Where is the research that supports this?

Re: anyone on the elimination diet?

Since I started the diet last week, I have noticed an improvement in my sleeping. Difficult to know what to have for breakfast because there is gluten and wheat in ALL cereals.

Re: anyone on the elimination diet?

Hi!

If you are looking for a milk substitute so you can still have your cereal....have you ever tried rice milk? or almond milk? I had to switch my son off dairy and after reading so much about it I no longer ingest any dairy either....We use Enriched rice dream...it comes in flavors and the chocolate its great... (also good for hot chocolate in the mornings..)..my son likes the vanilla also for drinking and uses the plain for cereal etc... it is really good in our opinion! And the enriched is full of calcium/vitamins etc... You can also get almond milk which is great too ..either of these would replace soy if that is what you have been drinking. Soy did not agree with either one of us...

good luck! It is hard to eat different than others...but you have to do what you have to for your body and your health!
